The sponsor initiates the application process with the Indonesian immigration authorities. Necessary documents, such as passport, photographs, medical check- up results, and sponsorship letters, are typically required.
The duration of a KITAS can vary based on its type and purpose. Typically, it ranges from six months to several years. Renewal or extension is possible, but it requires proper application and compliance with Indonesian immigration regulations.
KITAS holders are required to abide by Indonesian laws and regulations. They must not engage in activities beyond the permitted scope outlined in their KITAS. Additionally, reporting to local immigration offices for any changes (such as address, employment, marital status) is mandatory.
